Success story

Success story
From plastic to cardboard
This project stems from a key question for the industry: is it possible to replace plastic packaging without losing functionality, efficiency, or operational control?
At Compospack, the challenge wasn't just changing the material, but rethinking the entire packaging system . Through a process of research, usage analysis, and eco-design, the performance of the plastic dome and its impact on material volume, frequency of consumption, and waste generation were evaluated. The result was a structural redesign that optimized plastic use, allowing the raw material needed for a single dome to be transformed into six functional cardboard boxes, without compromising product protection, visibility, or the overall experience.
What used to be plastic, today is efficiency.

The true impact of this decision is seen over time. By scaling up the solution, the reduction in plastic becomes cumulative and measurable, demonstrating that eco-design applied through packaging engineering can generate real changes in a brand's operations and environmental footprint.
This case reflects the value of working with Compospack: not only as a packaging supplier, but as a strategic partner that supports brands in the transition towards more efficient, responsible solutions aligned with circular economy models.
